Add Your Voice

The Leadership Development Design Team has hosted regional convening across the state in hopes that their work can be guided by your ideas, and in their role they can lift up your success stories and challenges. We recognize that many of you were not able to attend a convening, and we want to use this opportunity to hear from you. If you could offer solutions to leadership development challenges for the nonprofit sector in your community, what would you tell us?

We recognize the nonprofit sector and community change-makers are vital to the well-being of Washington state, and to ensure this work thrives, we need to invest in the people, organizations, and movements making positive change.

That’s why your voice is critical to help direct funding to make the most impact in your world.

It’s as easy as:
1.      Identifying who makes up your community
2.      Talking about what your community needs to best develop & support leadership
3.      Taking notes about your discussion and ideas (Pick your language!)
4.      Submitting your demographics & note sheets here by September 14, 2018

The Statewide Capacity Collaborative (SCC) has convened leaders from across Washington to serve on a Design Team that reflects the racial, ethnic, and geographic diversity of communities.  Using a community-informed process, this Leadership Design Team will make recommendations to the SCC on how to better support the development of nonprofit leaders.

The Design Team started receiving community input by conducting community conversations using an “Open Space” format to listen closely to community members in Pierce & King Counties, Yakima County, and Grant County. Community members shared ways to strengthen work already taking place, how to call forth emerging leaders, and expressed the need for an approach that is focused on equity among leadership in nonprofits.

Now the Design Team invites you to join the conversation!
